Over his lifetime Kenneth worked hard on portraiture. He did a self portrait and I have found the drawing, but I do remember he destroyed the final oil painting saying it was not good enough. He went to evening classes at St Martins School of Art in London in the late 50’s early 60’s and produced a huge collection of portraiture and classic figure drawings. He painted his family prodigiously. Completing a wonderful painting of Margaret Anns, which although almost an oil sketch has depth and is an excellent likeness. Some of work from St Martins was very good indeed, all trial and error with many good drawings resulting. The nude painting had been put away for many years, and is now hanging back on the wall. It is a good painting.
